AI is welcome – but only within a human-centered leadership model

AI has firmly established itself in working life. But leaders are clear: technology should strengthen leadership – not replace it.

The EGN Leadership Report 2026 points to strong support for a human-centered leadership model. AI is valued for analysis, insight, and efficiency, while responsibility, prioritization, and judgment must remain human.

This is a conscious boundary. AI is seen to better leadership, not a substitute for experience, ethics, and contextual understanding. The challenge arises when responsibility becomes unclear or when technology gains too much authority.

As AI becomes more integrated into everyday work, maintaining this balance becomes an active leadership choice – not a given.
