Forfatter og m\u00f8deekspert Bastian Overgaard mener, at vi st\u00e5r over for et afg\u00f8rende opg\u00f8r med vores m\u00f8dekultur. Hans seneste bog <em>M\u00f8delagt<\/em> har ramt en nerve hos b\u00e5de ledere og medarbejdere, fordi den s\u00e6tter fingeren p\u00e5 et velkendt, men ofte overset problem: Vi bruger oceaner af tid p\u00e5 m\u00f8der, der hverken er effektive eller meningsfulde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDanskerne har virkelig brug for et generelt opg\u00f8r med m\u00f8dekultur og hvordan vi respekterer hinandens tid, n\u00e5r vi m\u00f8des,\u201d siger Bastian Overgaard. \u201cDet, jeg ser i organisationer og virksomheder, er, at man ikke prioriterer og professionaliserer m\u00f8dekultur. Det er noget, vi bare g\u00f8r med venstre h\u00e5nd, og det koster b\u00e5de tid og energi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-moderne-draener-vores-energi\"><strong>M\u00f8derne dr\u00e6ner vores energi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Overgaard har i mere end ti \u00e5r arbejdet med stilhed som ledelses- og m\u00f8dev\u00e6rkt\u00f8j. Hans indgang til feltet har v\u00e6ret netop m\u00f8dekulturen, fordi det er d\u00e9r, han igen og igen har observeret, hvor meget energi der g\u00e5r tabt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI m\u00f8derne ser jeg, hvor ufokuserede vi er, hvor uforberedte vi er, hvor d\u00e5rlige folk er til at lytte til hinanden, og hvor meget tid der bliver brugt p\u00e5 ting, der ikke er relevante,\u201d forklarer han. \u201cDet er dr\u00e6nende for vores mentale overskud og dermed ogs\u00e5 for vores evne til at tr\u00e6ffe beslutninger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Problemet er ikke isoleret til enkelte virksomheder \u2013 det er en generel tendens. Som han siger: \u201cDet er som om, det bare er en naturlov, at vi er d\u00e5rlige til at m\u00f8des effektivt og meningsfuldt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-hjernen-har-brug-for-pauser\"><strong>Hjernen har brug for pauser<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En del af forklaringen p\u00e5, hvorfor ineffektive m\u00f8der er s\u00e5 skadelige, findes i hjernen. Forskning viser, at n\u00e5r vi overbelastes af information uden pauser, lukker hippocampus \u2013 en central del af hjernen \u2013 midlertidigt ned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cS\u00e5 tr\u00e6ffer vi d\u00e5rligere beslutninger, vi husker d\u00e5rligere, og vi er d\u00e5rligere til at navigere socialt,\u201d forklarer Overgaard. \u201cDet g\u00f8r, at vi f\u00e5r d\u00e5rligere samarbejde og d\u00e5rligere psykologisk tryghed. Vores hjerne har brug for mellemrum \u2013 ikke bare pauser, men rum til at sortere informationer og finde nye l\u00f8sninger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Han mener, at netop derfor er m\u00f8dekulturen et centralt sted at starte, hvis man \u00f8nsker bedre beslutninger, mere innovation og et sundere arbejdsmilj\u00f8. \u201cHvis vi bare k\u00f8rer m\u00f8de p\u00e5 m\u00f8de, br\u00e6nder hjernen ud. Det giver simpelthen ikke mening.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-et-faelles-ansvar\"><strong>Et f\u00e6lles ansvar<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En af Overgaards vigtigste pointer er, at forandring ikke kan overlades til den enkelte leder eller medarbejder. Det kr\u00e6ver en f\u00e6lles indsats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDet her er en kultur\u00e6ndring,\u201d understreger han. \u201cDet er vane\u00e6ndringer. Vi bliver n\u00f8dt til at g\u00e5 sammen om det. Hvis du vil spise sundt eller tr\u00e6ne, er det sv\u00e6rt at g\u00f8re alene \u2013 men i en gruppe, hvor man st\u00f8tter hinanden, er det langt nemmere. Det samme g\u00e6lder m\u00f8der.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hans bog <em>M\u00f8delagt<\/em> skal netop fungere som en samtalestarter: \u201cHvis man har skabt en f\u00e6lles samtale om det her, hvor man hver uge kan sp\u00f8rge: Hvordan har vores m\u00f8der v\u00e6ret i denne uge, og hvad kan vi g\u00f8re bedre? \u2013 s\u00e5 skaber man en platform, hvor alle tager ansvar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stop-med-quick-fixes\"><strong>Stop med quick fixes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ofte leder b\u00e5de ledere og organisationer efter hurtige l\u00f8sninger \u2013 men if\u00f8lge Overgaard er det en del af problemet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHvis du beder mig om et quick fix, s\u00e5 er det useri\u00f8st, en gimmick\u201d siger han med et smil. \u201cDet handler ikke om det enkelte m\u00f8de, men om m\u00f8dekulturen. Hvis jeg skulle give \u00e9t r\u00e5d, s\u00e5 er det at s\u00e6tte tid af p\u00e5 dagsordenen til at tale om, hvordan vi g\u00f8r vores m\u00f8der bedre. Det er d\u00e9r, forandringen starter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forandringen kr\u00e6ver vedholdenhed og vilje til at se m\u00f8der som et strategisk omr\u00e5de p\u00e5 linje med \u00f8konomi eller HR. \u201cHvis man kigger tilbage efter et \u00e5r og kan se, at man har sparet tusindvis af m\u00f8detimer, frigivet energi og styrket trivsel \u2013 s\u00e5 er det klart, at investeringen betaler sig tifold tilbage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-blind-vinkel-pa-tidsforbruget\"><strong>Blind vinkel p\u00e5 tidsforbruget<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I mange organisationer er der stor fokus p\u00e5 at optimere udgifter og indt\u00e6gter, men tidsforbruget \u2013 is\u00e6r p\u00e5 m\u00f8der \u2013 overses. Det er en blind vinkel, mener Overgaard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJeg var ude i en stor organisation, hvor lederen fortalte, at han allerede var booket med back-to-back m\u00f8der hele 2025 \u2013 og vi stod i november 2024! Det er jo klaustrofobisk,\u201d fort\u00e6ller han. \u201cOg det skaber d\u00e5rlig ledelse, fordi medarbejderne oplever, at lederen aldrig er n\u00e6rv\u00e6rende. Det giver ikke mening, at man ikke flere steder siger: Vi er n\u00f8dt til at g\u00f8re op med v\u00e6g-til-v\u00e6g m\u00f8derne.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\u00f8lge Overgaard kr\u00e6ver det b\u00e5de struktur og mod at \u00e6ndre m\u00f8dekulturen. \u201cHvis vi vil v\u00e6re professionelle, s\u00e5 skal vi turde optimere m\u00f8derne. Vi skal minimere udenomssnak i selve m\u00f8derne \u2013 s\u00e5 vi har tid til den uformelle snak imellem m\u00f8derne.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-investeringen-betaler-sig\"><strong>Investeringen betaler sig<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Til sidst understreger Overgaard det vigtigste budskab: At professionalisere m\u00f8der er ikke blot en irritationens kampplads \u2013 det er en investering, der kan \u00e6ndre en hel organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMan bliver n\u00f8dt til at investere i at professionalisere kulturen,\u201d siger han. \u201cOg den investering vil komme tifold tilbage i mere tid, mere energi og bedre \u00f8konomi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med <em>M\u00f8delagt<\/em> og de syv m\u00f8de-regler giver han b\u00e5de inspiration og konkrete v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til at starte den n\u00f8dvendige samtale. Men det afg\u00f8rende er, at ansvaret ikke placeres \u00e9t sted. \u201cDet er et f\u00e6lles ansvar,\u201d gentager han. \u201cKun sammen kan vi skabe m\u00f8der, der giver mening.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Du kan blive meget klogere p\u00e5, hvordan vi bliver bedre til at holde m\u00f8der, N\u00e5r Bastian Overgaard g\u00e6ster EGN live studiet.
