About the workshop

Join us for this EGN Thailand inspiration meeting, on Wednesday morning, September 30th from 7.30-11.00 AM in Central Bangkok.

Workshop: Human in the Loop:

Applying Philosophy and Behavioral Science in Technology & Digital Transformation

As technology, AI, and automation become increasingly embedded in our organizations, the most important question is no longer what technology can do, but how humans should work alongside it. This interactive workshop explores how philosophy and behavioral science can help leaders design digital systems that are not only efficient, but also ethical, trusted, and human-centered.

Drawing on the thinking of philosophers such as Socrates, Aristotle, and Kant, alongside insights from behavioral science and decision-making research, participants will examine how human judgment, values, and accountability remain essential in an age of intelligent technologies. Through real-world examples, discussions, and practical frameworks, attendees will learn how to identify where human oversight adds the greatest value, avoid common biases in automated decision-making, and build trust in digital and AI-enabled environments.

Participants will leave with a practical Human-in-the-Loop framework that can be applied to AI, digital transformation, employee experience, customer engagement, and organizational decision-making. The session is designed for leaders, HR professionals, technology teams, and transformation practitioners who want to harness technology while preserving the uniquely human capabilities of wisdom, ethics, empathy, and critical thinking.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand why human judgment remains critical in the age of AI and automation
  • Apply philosophical thinking to technology and digital decisions
  • Use behavioral science principles to improve adoption, trust, and decision quality
  • Recognize and mitigate automation bias and other unintended consequences
  • Design effective Human-in-the-Loop processes for your organization
  • Build a more responsible, ethical, and human-centered approach to digital transformation

This session is designed to be interactive and engaging. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, ask questions, and contribute to the discussions.

NB: The event is limited to 30 participants. Registration is required, and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

We point out that only EGN members subsequently have access to the event materials.
